Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. Here's exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.

1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture to create and manage your ViralNebula account.
Usage Data: We track how you use the platform — which tools you use, how many credits you consume, and generation history — to improve the Service and enforce fair usage limits.
Payment Information: Payments are processed by PayPal or Gumroad. We only store your subscription status and payment date. We never see or store your full card details.
Generated Content: Scripts, thumbnails, ideas, and other AI-generated outputs may be saved to your account history in Firestore to power the History Dashboard feature.
2. How We Use Your Information
Service Delivery: To authenticate your account, process requests, and deliver AI-generated content.
Credit & Quota Management: To track daily and monthly usage limits and ensure fair access across all users.
Service Improvement: Aggregated, anonymised usage data helps us understand which tools are most used and how to improve them.
Communications: We may send you important service updates, security notices, or promotional emails. You can opt out of promotional emails at any time.
Fraud Prevention: We monitor for abusive behaviour, account sharing, and attempts to circumvent credit limits.
3. Third-Party Services
Google Firebase: We use Firebase for authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage. Your data is stored on Google's secure infrastructure.
Google Gemini AI: Your prompts (video topics, scripts, etc.) are sent to Google's Gemini AI API to generate content. Google's AI usage policies apply.
Google Text-to-Speech: Text you submit for audio generation is sent to Google's TTS API. Audio is returned and can be downloaded directly.
YouTube Data API: Growth tools use the YouTube Data API to fetch public video and channel data. We do not access your private YouTube account data.
PayPal / Gumroad: These payment processors handle transactions under their own privacy policies. We only receive confirmation of successful payment.
Vercel Analytics: We use Vercel's privacy-friendly analytics to measure page visits and performance. No personal data is shared with Vercel.
4. Data Security
Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Data at rest in Firebase is encrypted by Google.
Access Control: Access to user data is restricted to authenticated requests only. Firestore security rules ensure users can only access their own data.
Admin Access: Only authorised ViralNebula administrators can access platform-level data, and only for support or security purposes.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
Authentication Cookies: Firebase uses session cookies to keep you logged in. These are essential for the Service to function.
Tool Session Storage: We store your in-progress work (scripts, ideas, etc.) in your browser's localStorage so content is not lost on page navigation.
No Advertising Cookies: We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers.
6. Your Rights & Data Deletion
Access: You can view your account information and usage data from your Profile page at any time.
Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Data Portability: You can request an export of your generated content history by contacting our support team.
Opt-Out: You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in emails.
7. Data Retention
Active Accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active and you continue to use the Service.
Inactive Accounts: Accounts with no activity for 12 months may be subject to data cleanup. We will notify you before any deletion.
Error Logs: Server-side error and usage logs are retained for 7 days and then automatically purged.
